I'm a music teacher and have taught for over 20 years at schools such as Berklee College of Music, New England Conservatory, Musicians Institute, Cornel School of Contemporary Music, Longy School of Music and the Los Angeles College of Music.

Online Music Lessons
I teach music online to students worldwide.
I use several cameras to enhance the online music lesson experience. My online students receive video recordings of each lesson plus supporting media.
Piano: I teach contemporary, pop and jazz piano styles. I also teach sight-reading, technique, improvisation, jazz voicings, groove development and contemporary repertoire. I also teach Latin Jazz piano comping styles.

Music Theory: I teach Ear Training and Solfege using the Movable Do system. I also teach Chord-Scale Harmony, contemporary chord progressions and jazz voicings.

Songwriters/Producers: As a producer/keyboardist I have worked with many songwriters in Los Angeles and abroad. As an educator, I work with my songwriting students on their melodic development, chord progressions, contemporary styles and how to create music drawing from the best resources. I also teach keyboard skills geared towards songwriting and production.

I enjoy teaching students of all ages, music levels and interest. My students range from beginners to advanced. Their interest ranging from jazz piano, songwriting/production, ear training, to contemporary music theory.

The duration of the lesson is one hour or 60 minutes.
I live in Los Angeles (California), Pacific Standard Time (PST).

About Carlos Campos

I'm a music educator and have been teaching professionally for over 20 years. I taught at Berklee College of Music, New England Conservatory, Musicians Institute in Hollywood, Cornel School of Contemporary Music, California College of Music and currently I teach at Los Angeles College of Music (LACM).

I earned a Bachelor of Music from Berklee, a Masters of Music from New England Conservatory and an Honorary Doctorate of Music Arts from Shepherd University.

Some of my teachers include Edgar Valcarcel, William Thomas McKinley, Herb Pomeroy, Ran Blake, Anthony D’Bonaventura, Stephanie Tiernan, James Williams and others.

I am an author and I have written extensively for piano, music theory, ear training, improvisation, composition, arranging and scoring. I also have written and developed music college level curriculum for schools like Berklee, Musicians Institute, Cornel School of Music, California College of Music and LACM.

I enjoy teaching students of all ages, music levels and interest. My students range from beginners to very advanced. Their interest ranging from jazz piano, songwriting/production, pop vocals, guitar, bass, woodwinds, ear training, afro-latin styles, composition, contemporary music theory, arranging and scoring.
